Who are Sagely Scholars?

Sagely Scholars are high-achieving high schoolers from historically-marginalized backgrounds with big goals for college! Because we review applications holistically, we do not apply absolute criteria for academics or financial need.

  • Identifies with a historically-marginalized background, such as first-generation, low income, minority, or undocumented immigrant.

  • Has shown exceptional academic success, typically earning at least a 3.7 GPA while taking AP or other college-level courses.

  • Has an interest in or is engaged with activities in their schools and wider communities.

  • Plans to apply nationwide to highly competitive US colleges and universities.

What’s The Time Commitment?

At Sagely, we start planning applications in the spring or early summer before your senior year, starting with meetings or assignments about once a week and increasing as deadlines approach. Successful applicants to elite universities typically do 10-15 drafts of their personal statements and 6 drafts of most supplementary essays.

At Sagely, we work as hard as you do! Students who meet planning and drafting deadlines can expect help from knowledgeable, caring advisors every step of the way.
